NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. Sponsor
This promotion (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Cobex Construction Group (“Sponsor”), 4305 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95841. Additional contact information is available at cobexcg.com.
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who, as of the date of entry, are:
- At least eighteen (18) years of age;
- Legal owners and primary occupants of a single-family residential dwelling located within the eligible geographic area defined in Section 3;
- Able to provide proof of ownership and primary residency at the property if selected; and
- Not an employee, officer, director, contractor, or immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling) or household member of Cobex Construction Group, its affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, or anyone involved in the administration of this Sweepstakes.
The prize will be installed on the eligible single-family residential property identified in the entry. Multi-family dwellings, mobile homes, manufactured homes, rental properties, commercial properties, and properties under active foreclosure or with unresolved liens that would prevent permitted work are not eligible.
Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Official Rules.
3. Geographic Eligibility Area
The Sweepstakes is open only to entrants whose eligible residential property is located within one of the following five (5) California counties (collectively, the “Eligibility Area”):
- Sacramento County
- Placer County
- El Dorado County
- Yolo County
- Solano County
Properties located outside the Eligibility Area are not eligible regardless of the entrant’s residency. The Sweepstakes is void in all other jurisdictions.
4. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on June 3, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on July 15, 2026 (the “Entry Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.
5. How to Enter
There is one (1) method of entry, and entry is free:
Visit cobexcg.com/giveaway and complete the nomination form in full. Entrants may nominate themselves or another eligible homeowner. The form requests homeowner contact information, property address, a description of the homeowner’s situation, photographs of the existing roof, and the nominator’s contact information.
Limit: one (1) entry per nominated household. Duplicate entries for the same property will be consolidated into a single entry. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, or any automated means are void.
All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, garbled, or undelivered entries, which will be disqualified.
Important: Story details, photographs, and hardship descriptions submitted with an entry are collected for verification, marketing, and publicity purposes only. The content or merit of any nominator’s narrative will not be considered in the selection of the winner. The winner is selected by random drawing as described in Section 7.
6. Prize
One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded, consisting of:
- Complete tear-off and replacement of the existing roof on the winner’s eligible single-family residential property;
- Owens Corning asphalt shingle roofing materials of a grade comparable to those Sponsor uses for paying customers, in a color selected from Sponsor’s standard available options;
- Standard underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and related accessory materials customary to a full roof replacement;
- Professional installation by Sponsor’s in-house crew;
- Required local building permits for the roof replacement work; and
- Reasonable post-installation cleanup and haul-away of removed roofing debris.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): Up to twenty-five thousand U.S. dollars ($25,000). Actual value depends on the size, pitch, complexity, and condition of the winner’s roof. The difference, if any, between the stated ARV and the actual value of the prize will not be awarded.
Exclusions. The Prize does NOT include any of the following, which remain the responsibility of the winner if applicable:
- Repair or replacement of damaged or deteriorated roof decking, rafters, trusses, fascia, soffits, or other structural components beyond what is normally included in a comparable retail roof replacement;
- Remediation of mold, asbestos, lead, dry rot, pest infestation, or other hazardous conditions;
- Solar panel removal, reinstallation, or any solar-related work;
- Skylight replacement, chimney repair, gutter replacement, or HVAC venting modifications beyond standard reflashing;
- Roofing material upgrades beyond Sponsor’s standard offering;
- Homeowner association approvals, architectural review fees, or any third-party fees not customarily paid by Sponsor;
- Federal, state, or local taxes on the value of the Prize (see Section 11); and
- Any work performed on portions of the structure other than the primary roof.
Sponsor reserves the right to inspect the winner’s property prior to commencing work. If the property condition makes safe completion of the Prize impracticable, or if structural or other excluded work is required that the winner is unwilling or unable to fund, Sponsor reserves the right to (a) award a cash or material credit of equivalent or lesser value at Sponsor’s sole discretion, (b) award the Prize to an alternate winner selected by the same random process, or (c) cancel the Prize award.
Prize is non-transferable. No cash equivalent or substitution will be made except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Installation must be scheduled and completed within twelve (12) months of winner notification, subject to weather, permitting, and the winner’s reasonable cooperation.
7. Winner Selection
One (1) winner will be selected by random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be conducted on or after July 22, 2026 and on or before July 31, 2026, by a representative of Sponsor using a verifiable random selection method.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. All entries have an equal chance of being selected.
8. Winner Notification and Verification
The selected entrant will be notified by Sponsor between July 22, 2026 and July 31, 2026, by telephone, email, or in person, using the contact information provided in the entry. The selected entrant must respond to the notification within seven (7) calendar days and may be required to:
- Provide government-issued photo identification;
- Provide documentation showing legal ownership and primary residency of the nominated property (such as a deed, mortgage statement, property tax statement, or utility bill);
- Permit a pre-installation property inspection by Sponsor; and
- Execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and (where lawful) a Publicity Release as described in Section 9.
If the selected entrant: (a) cannot be contacted within seven (7) calendar days; (b) fails to return required documentation; (c) is found ineligible; (d) declines the Prize; or (e) the property is found unsuitable in Sponsor’s reasonable judgment, Sponsor reserves the right to forfeit the Prize and select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries by the same random process. Sponsor is not obligated to award the Prize if no eligible winner can be confirmed.
The winner will be publicly announced by Sponsor on or after July 22, 2026 and on or before July 31, 2026, through Sponsor’s website, email, and social media channels.
9. Releases and Consent
By entering, each entrant agrees that Sponsor, its affiliates, employees, contractors, agents, and assigns (the “Released Parties”) are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense of any kind arising from or related to participation in the Sweepstakes, acceptance or use of the Prize, or installation of roofing materials. The winner assumes all risk associated with acceptance of the Prize.
By accepting the Prize, the winner grants Sponsor and the Released Parties the right to use the winner’s name, likeness, voice, property photographs, project photographs and video (including before-and-after imagery), city of residence, and statements about the Prize and Sponsor, in all media now known or later developed, worldwide, in perpetuity, for advertising, marketing, publicity, and promotional purposes, without further compensation, notification, or approval, except where prohibited by law.
The winner agrees to execute and return a written Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and Publicity Release prior to delivery of the Prize. Failure to do so within seven (7) calendar days of notification may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
10. Privacy and Data Use
Personal information collected through the entry form is collected by Sponsor and will be used for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes, verifying eligibility, contacting entrants and winners, and, where the entrant has consented, for Sponsor’s marketing communications regarding its products and services. Sponsor will not sell entry data to third parties.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact Sponsor through the contact information on cobexcg.com.
By entering, the entrant consents to Sponsor’s collection and use of the information submitted as described above and in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
11. Taxes
All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC, or other tax reporting form as required by law, reflecting the actual value of the Prize awarded. The winner may be required to provide a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (such as a Social Security Number) before the Prize is delivered. Failure to provide a valid Taxpayer Identification Number where required may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
12. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes, or to disqualify any entrant, if any fraud, technical failure, human error, or other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper administration of the Sweepstakes, or if Sponsor is otherwise prevented from conducting the Sweepstakes as planned. In such an event, Sponsor may, at its discretion, conduct a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of cancellation, suspension, modification, or termination.
Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage Sponsor’s website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil law. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.
If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Official Rules and the Sweepstakes are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and each entrant consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Except where prohibited, each entrant waives any right to claim attorneys’ fees, indirect, special, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, and any rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
14. Social Media Platform Disclaimer
This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., YouTube, TikTok, or any other social media platform on which it may be promoted. Entrants release each such platform from any and all liability arising from or related to the Sweepstakes.
15. Winner List and Rules Requests
To request the name of the winner or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope after July 31, 2026 and before October 31, 2026 to:
