FAMILY

Cobex Construction Group is a family-owned business committed to treating you like family. Our concierge service ensures regular communication throughout your project. We provide transparent communication, trusted advice, and the best value for your home investment. Treating you like family isn’t just a business decision—it’s who we are.

FREEDOM

Freedom is our core value at Cobex. Founded by Vazgen, son of immigrants seeking freedom, we express this through quality workmanship and professionalism. Every day, we celebrate the opportunity to serve our community and customers with commitment and compassion, never taking our freedom or ability to make a difference for granted.

FAITH

Cobex is founded on faith, guiding our commitment to integrity and transparency. Initially a general contracting business, we focused on exterior services as we grew. Our faith-based values drive our dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and honesty.

Roofing Services We Offer in Vacaville

Our roofing services cover complete systems for Vacaville homeowners and light commercial properties: repair, roof replacement, inspection, and solar or rooftop equipment coordination. Our bids itemize roofing materials and labor, and collecting more than one detailed written estimate is a reasonable way to judge a fair price. We are not the cheapest bid on the street, and we say so plainly. We buy quality material and install it to last. Financing options are available.

Roof Repair and Roof Leaks

Roof repair addresses isolated failures. Most roof leaks start at a detail rather than in the open field of the roof: flashing at chimneys and vents, slipped or missing material, valleys, and open penetrations. Water travels from underlayment into decking and insulation before it ever shows on a ceiling. Careful leak detection keeps a small leak small, so we locate the entry point instead of guessing from an interior stain, then fix the detail that actually failed. A repair that only chases the stain leaves the real source working on your framing.

Roof Replacement and Re-Roof for Vacaville Roofs

A Cobex re-roof is a full system, not a shingle swap: tear-off, decking review, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and a covering that meets the City’s compliance path. Quality roofing materials include asphalt shingle, tile, metal, and low-slope single-ply. Roof replacement is the right solution when wear is general rather than isolated, and done once, done right means you are not calling us back in three winters. Our installation crews are in-house, so the people who walked your roof at the estimate are the people on it during the re-roof.

Roof Inspections for Vacaville Roofs

Every plane is inspected and photographed: covering, underlayment, decking, valleys, penetrations, attic ventilation, fascia, gutters, and any existing solar attachments. Professional roof inspections catch problems while they are still repairs, which is the least expensive way to prevent water damage. You get the photos whether or not you hire us.

Solar and Rooftop HVAC Coordination

We sequence roofing first so panels and rooftop HVAC installation are not removed and reset twice. Inspecting beforehand prevents future leaks at the attachment points, and many homeowners schedule solar panel installation after a re-roof, because a solar system performs best over a roof that will outlast it.

Storm, Hail, and Water Damage Documentation

After wind, hail damage, or heavy rain, we photograph visible roof conditions and help you navigate the homeowner’s insurance process. We do not promise a coverage outcome. We provide the record your insurance company asks for.

Why Vacaville Homeowners Choose Us as Their Roofing Contractor

Why Vacaville Homeowners Choose Us as Their Roofing Contractor

We are a Sacramento-based, family-owned roofing company with in-house crews rather than subcontracted labor, and we say that plainly instead of pretending to be a Vacaville storefront. Our license is CSLB #1031864, and we have been BBB Accredited since 12/15/2017. BuildZoom scores us at 131, placing us in the top 1% of 336,931 California licensed contractors, with 963+ permit-pulled projects in the past three years. Our official site cites 30+ years of combined experience and 5,000+ satisfied customers across Northern California.

Ask any roofing company for proof of general liability insurance and active workers’ compensation coverage, and confirm the C-39 Roofing classification. That coverage matters to you if someone is hurt on your property, which is one reason job site safety is planned before the first bundle is loaded. Manufacturer programs in the roofing industry also certify select contractors for enhanced coverage, and we show you in writing which product-level protection applies to your system.

On communication, you get a dedicated project manager, a superintendent, and a Client Success Manager who keeps homeowners updated at every stage. Named people, defined roles. The team that inspects your roof is the team that installs it. You should not have to chase anyone for news about your own home, and that reliability is part of the job rather than a bonus. Bring your concerns to the inspection and we will answer them there. If you want local proof, ask whether we have recently worked for neighbors near you in Solano County, and we will tell you where our crews and past clients are. Through Cobex Giving Back and our Roof Giveaway, we put quality work back into the community.

One Company for the Entire Roofing Project

Roofing is our lead trade, and siding, window replacement, exterior paint, and patio covers come from the same team. Handing the entire project to one company means a single point of contact and no finger-pointing between trades on a residential or light commercial property. That exterior expertise was a deliberate choice, and we hold every trade to the same standard of quality workmanship.

Talk with us and see the proof before you commit to anything.

How Your Vacaville Roofing Project Works

How Your Vacaville Roofing Project Works

  • 1. Free, no-obligation inspection. We photograph the roof and write a scope broken out by plane, so you see what is being repaired or replaced and why.
  • 2. Written confirmation. Materials, the cool-roof compliance path, the ventilation plan, and financing are confirmed in writing, along with a workmanship warranty covering installation and a separate material warranty covering product defects. You should feel confident before anyone climbs a ladder.
  • 3. Permit and installation. We file with the City of Vacaville Community Development Department Building Division at 650 Merchant Street, schedule the crew, and update you at tear-off and each stage after. Our roofers set fall protection, safety anchors, and debris containment first. Permit fees are valuation-based, with a 9.9% surcharge on the building fee plus a Building Standards Commission fee.
  • 4. Final inspection and closeout. The CF2R-ENV-05-E form accompanies the inspection card when the local inspector arrives. Requests made before 3:00 p.m. are scheduled for the first available business day, and the City strives to complete them within two business days. Then cleanup and your closeout documents.

Our change-order rule is simple: hidden decking or fascia damage is photographed and authorized by you before extra work happens. No surprises. The quote form is a quick conversation, not an application.

Frontline Roofing for Vacaville Weather and Neighborhoods

Frontline Roofing for Vacaville Weather and Neighborhoods

Your roof is the frontline against valley heat and a rainy season that arrives all at once. A City-derived climate table reports average July highs near 96°F and roughly 26 inches of annual precipitation, with about 86% falling between November and March. That cycle ages material and opens sealants and flashing at chimneys, skylights, and vents through repeated thermal movement, which is where most leaks in Vacaville roofs begin.

Housing stock varies by neighborhood. The Downtown Specific Plan area is roughly 76% single-family, with about 34% built between 1950 and 1959, and historic-resource districts run along Buck Avenue, Monte Vista Avenue, Kendal Street, and Kentucky Street. Browns Valley’s Rice-McMurtry area runs from 10,000-square-foot lots to one-acre parcels, which makes staging easier. Newer two-story plans near Vanden Road run 1,591 to 2,074 square feet, meaning more roof intersections and second-story access. Whether your residence is a 1950s bungalow or a modern farmhouse, the scope reflects it.

Design criteria here call for a 92 mph basic wind load, Climate Zone 12, and no snow load, so edge fastening and ridge detailing matter more than snow capacity. Parcels near the western and northern edges of Solano County carry elevated fire-exposure considerations, and we verify a parcel’s current designation rather than assume. Roofs steeper than 2:12 need qualifying cool-roof performance or an approved alternative, which also keeps the attic more energy efficient. Vacaville adopted the 2025 California Building, Residential, and Existing Building Codes through Ordinance 2006 on November 19, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a new roof cost in Vacaville?

Your quote is set by measured roof area, pitch, stories, material, tear-off layers, decking condition, flashing and ventilation work, site access, and solar coordination, not by interior square footage. Our bids itemize materials and labor, and financing is available. Request a free, no-obligation estimate and we will price your actual roof.

Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Vacaville?

Yes for a re-roof, and for repairs above the local exemption, which covers roof-covering repairs only up to 100 square feet in a 12-month period. Permits come from the Building Division at 650 Merchant Street, and the City directs applicants to confirm the address is within city limits before submitting through eTRAKiT. We pull the permit for you.

Does Vacaville require cool-roof materials?

For roofs steeper than 2:12, the City’s residential reroof handout requires qualifying cool-roof performance or an approved alternative. We confirm the compliance path in your written scope before ordering material.

Can my roof be repaired, or does it need replacing?

A targeted fix makes sense when the failure is isolated and the surrounding system is still serviceable. Roof replacement is the honest solution when wear is widespread or patches no longer keep water out. That call comes from a professional inspection, never from an interior stain alone.

Do you serve my part of Vacaville, CA, and are you licensed?

Our office is in Sacramento and we reach the city on I-80 West, so ask directly whether your address is on our current schedule. Homeowners farther southwest sometimes ask about Contra Costa County, and we would rather answer than have you assume. We hold CSLB License #1031864, verifiable with the California Contractors State License Board.
