Why are you waiting?

"My siding looks fine. I don’t need to replace it."

Many siding materials have a lifespan that’s decades long. But the siding materials commonly used in the 1980s, 90s, and even early 2000s didn’t prioritize fire-resistant properties. Siding that looks fine could put your home at risk during fire season.

"I don’t need to fire-proof my house. I live in a suburban area."

90% of homes and buildings damaged or destroyed by a fire resulted from embers, which can fly miles ahead of a wildfire and kick off a chain of fires in suburban neighborhoods far outside forests and wooded areas.

"I can’t afford any significant home upgrades right now."

Upgrading your home’s exterior can be more affordable than you might think. Fire-proofing your home’s exterior may even help you save money on homeowner’s insurance. Ask us about our financing program, which can help you get the home upgrades you want for zero-down and low monthly payments.

Zero Down Financing Available

Are you putting off home repairs or improvements because of the cost? Ask us about our creative financing options. With financing through Cobex, you could qualify for zero-down, low-interest financing options with affordable monthly payments. Even better, our financing does not require a lien against your home, so you can enjoy affordable improvements without worrying about construction liens.

Our promise: we’ll do it once, and we’ll do it right.

Karen CKaren C ★☆☆☆☆ I regret hiring Cobex to install a new roof on my house. They took five months to begin work and took twice as long as expected to complete. We asked the sales crew for custom skylights and to repair dry rot on the architectural details of the house. None of these details were passed to the construction crew and during construction, we were told the custom skylights would not be covered under warranty. It also became apparent that they did not have the expertise to handle the carpentry work for the dry rot repair. I had to manage the project daily to direct the repair work and point out corrections. In the end, we didn't get the skylights we agreed to and the dry rot repair and detail work was subpar. They missed areas of dry rot and used inferior wood. Also, Cobex did not tarp the roof before a predicted rain storm and damage was done to the interior ceiling, walls, furniture and carpet. Five other homes they were working on were also affected. I hired another contractor and did work myself to make repairs they missed since I did not trust Cobex's workmanship. We were given a discount but that did not cover the cost of additional repairs and rainwater damage.Response from the ownerWe deeply regret the extensive inconvenience and dissatisfaction you faced during your roofing project. The delays, miscommunication between teams, and the lack meeting your expectations is unacceptable. We're actively addressing these issues internally to prevent such occurrences in the future. Sarah HuangSarah Huang ★★★★★ Ben MillerBen Miller ★★★☆☆ Cobex did our roof the summer of 2023. The sales team were great and personable but unfortunately everything after that was pretty poor. We had zero communication from our project manager. We had to keep calling the sales guy back to get updates. The roof was done decently but it is quite wavy and bumpy and they left a huge mess all over our property. We also got hit with 4k add on for gutter guards which were apparently required but we didn't hear of that until install day. After it was installed we had guys just show up without warning to inspect. They had cobex shirts on so I know it wasn't the inspector. Just a really rough experience. Guess I expected a bit more after giving a company almost 40k.Robert DominguezRobert Dominguez ★★★★★ Deborah HayesDeborah Hayes ★★★★★ Sergei and Andre did a great job. Truly professional, which can be rare these days. Thanks so much!Response from the ownerThank you for recognizing Sergei and Andre's professionalism! If you need anything else in the future, feel free to reach out. Thanks again! Cornelius WilkinsCornelius Wilkins ★★☆☆☆ *Updated Review*Prior to this review I had 5 stars I would of added more if I could but after what my wife and I went through with this company as far as financing I believe there was some deceitfulness on their end.I sat down and discussed our payment plans with one of their representatives who I later found out is no longer employed by the company and he filled out their company formed that indicated what the loan amount will be as well as the interest rate, and monthly payment fee. He signed off on it as well as my wife who was financing this project and he told us we were going to get an email as well to sign off on aswell. In good faith of a company that has great reviews and we just physically sign a contract we agreed on. To our fault we trusted the would uphold what we signed off on initially but just yesterday it was brought to our attention that they up the overall cost of the project in the email sent to us that we signed off on in good faith that it would be what discussed same time. It was on us to read the the email contract in its full. But when you operate in good faith of a compay who has excellent reviews and the come out and give a contract to sign physically which we did read and both parties signed and say they also need and email signature, you don't think they would do ch deceitful actions. And when our frustration with the situation was brought to one of their employees all they were concerned about was collecting their deposit that they had no idea tgey hadnt received but because I operate in good faith I brought it to their attention Prior to them informings that the physical contract we signed off on ment nothing.I was actually excited to do moreibusiness with this company but I'll just have to search elsewhere base off of principle.Response from the ownerThank you for sharing your experience and expressing your concerns. We deeply apologize for the frustration and disappointment you encountered with our financing process. We understand the importance of transparency and trust in every interaction, and it's disheartening to hear about the discrepancies in the agreement. We take these matters seriously and are investigating this issue internally to ensure such situations do not reoccur. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and understand your decision based on principle. If there's anything we can do to rectify this or regain your trust, please reach out. Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve our processes. Again, we're sorry for the disappointment, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors. danielle fentondanielle fenton ★★★★★ Response from the ownerThank you Mike GMike G ★★★★★ Cobex Construction Group recently handled the commercial roofing project for our business, and they were outstanding. From the get-go, they were communicative and transparent about the whole process. Their team arrived punctually every day and showed real expertise and care in their work. What I appreciated the most was how tidy they kept the work area — by the end of the project, there was no trace of construction mess. Our new roof looks sturdy and well-fitted, a testament to their skills. For any business out there needing a roof job, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Cobex. It is from 1937, so it was in need of some love. I met with Chris, the sales rep, who was very helpful and informative to get the job going. The windows were installed faster than the original 2-day install estimate, which was fantastic. The paint, however, did take a little longer than expected. This was only due to them making sure they did the job right, since my older house took some TLC. They were thorough and did not miss one spot. Overall, the job turned out fantastic and I am very pleased with it.Response from the ownerThank you Joseph! Jimmy BanksJimmy Banks ★★★★★ Overall positive experience working with Cobex. Had to wait a little longer than expected, but I think it was worth it. Very detail-oriented group of professionals. I was working with Stan; he is a knowledgeable young man. Entire staff was very professional and communicated the entire time. Process was completed in projected time and I could not be happier with the finished job. New roof looks amazing! Darryl BakerDarryl Baker ★★★★★ Richard is very professional and helpful.Response from the ownerThank you Darryl! Russell SammonsRussell Sammons ★★★☆☆ Sub contractors were used even though I was assured only Cobex employees would do the work.I requested white drip edge, brown was installed. The sub who installed the flashing and painted the vent pipes did a sloppy job.The flashing and vent pipes were painted dark brown, which is not a good match for the amber roof shingles. The flat roof portion was not swept well before installing the TPO material. Several areas show debris bulging up from underneath.I have brought these issues to the attention of Cobex’ production supervisor. Waiting for their response and resolution plan.Brandy ReissigBrandy Reissig ★★★★★ The process from sales to completion went very smooth. Great customer service!Response from the ownerThanks Brandy! I would definitely recommend this team!Entire staff including Accounting Department (Inna) very professional and nice.If you're looking for affordable and top quality roof experts in the Sacramento region, Cobex Construction Group is the best choice.Response from the ownerThank you Angelina! Brandon LBrandon L ★★★☆☆ My experience with Cobex is a mixed one. Intial introductions went well, the representative from Cobex that came out to perform the inspection and estimate was nice and professional.Once the job was agreed upon the work was suppose to start within 6-8 weeks. During that period I felt Cobex dropped the ball in regards to updating me when the job my begin since the work was delayed due to weather. Not their fault but again communication is needed.Once the work began the everything seemed to be going smoothly until they removed my entire roof before letting me know there would be an additional $9,000 dollars in work needed due to missed items on the inspection/estimate. After going back and forth that $9,000 turned into $3,500 and we were able to continue.Once again everything was going smooth until coming home to see a cracked window in my kitchen. After speaking with the representative from Cobex they agreed to take care of the window they damaged. After everything was complete the new roof on my house does look amazing.Overall the experience was a little tiresome dealing with the back and forth but the quality of work was great. They definitely do quality work, just make sure they do a proper inspection/estimate before work begins.Response from the ownerHi Brandon. We understand your frustration. We should have done a better job of communicating with you and updating you more often on the timeline. Sorry that you did not recieve a 5-star experiance from end to end. We appreciate you working with us to resolve the issues that came up. Thank you. I was relieved that he could accomodate my schedule and roofing needs at fair market value using the Owen's Corning cool roof shingles. He is very professional and is a good representative in deportment and assuring that the company will do its best to get the job done timely and by company paid employees, not farming it out to subcontractors.Give him a call, he will take car of your roofing needs expediently.Nicole CarlsonResponse from the ownerThank you Nicole, we appreciate the great feedback. Thank you. Samantha OlsonSamantha Olson ★★★★★ We used Cobex for almost complete remodel of the exterior of our house. New siding, new roof, new windows and doors, paint, changes to the electrical panel and a new patio cover. Overall, I am quite happy with how everything turned out and the house looks great. Vazgen was super helpful and never gave up on us. Sscooter PieSscooter Pie ★★★★☆ Very professional and organized. They did a great job. A little over priced however they installed roof ventilation which I did not expect.Response from the ownerThank you! shianne hunsakershianne hunsaker ★★★☆☆ I have been gathering quotes to get a new roof, i Contacted cobex and the process of making the appointment was quick and easy . Who doesn’t love that ? A mom of 4 that goes to school full time anything that saves time I appreciate . They needed to reschedule for a few hours later which was fine I get things happen. He arrived and we sat down and began to talk. I found it odd he wanted to sit down first before going and double checking his measurements and or for further repairs he let me know he already had the measurements through an areal shot (which the other quotes I was getting did too) and then proceeded to tell me what the price was going to be . I told him I don’t know if he wanted to continue with the process as the other quotes I got were significantly less and he proceeded to pretty much say in other words you get what you pay for. I felt a sense of judgement . The other companies are reputable companies with great reviews . He then said he didn’t want to waste either of our time and left. All that could’ve been done through an email if that’s all that was going to be done and could’ve saved all of our time . A $6000-$8000 price difference but couldn’t even put shoe covers on before stepping in to my families home. Could just be me but a 6-8 thousand dollar difference from multiple other quotes is a bit steep . I really didn’t like that guys attitude making it seem like his company is superior then everyone else’s trying to justify the drastic price difference . To me it sounds like trying to take advantage . Even if they offered to price match I solely wouldn’t go through them just based off this experience . If you read all of this please take the time to get multiple quotes before choosing a company . Do your research . If I could do 2.5 stars I would but since I didn’t actually use the company I rounded up to 3Response from the ownerHi shiannae it sounds like you did not have the best experiance with us. I sincerly appologize for your experiance. I would love to talk to you about it more over the phone if you are ok with that? js_loader

Dmitriy Matushevskiy

Dmitriy "Dima" Matushevskiy

Those who know Dmitriy Matushevskiy well today will attest that he is not a hard person to read. His values and priorities were carved into his character since childhood. Born in the Ukraine during a period of extreme religious persecution, his grandparents and eventually his parents were lured to the United States by the desire for freedom and opportunity. Dmitriy is inspired by the memories of what his family endured. “I remember the sacrifices and difficult times my family endured in Ukraine and continue to be motivated by their courage and resourcefulness.”

After arriving in America in 2001 as a teenager, Dmitriy was drawn to the construction trade but lacked the knowledge and expertise he needed. He was hired by two contractors to help install windows and other small projects. In both cases, these people refused to pay him. But he didn’t let that disappointment sour him on construction. He knew then that it was how he wanted to spend his life. He found another contractor he trusted and offered to work for free if he would teach Dmitriy the trades. That arrangement lasted for two years and inspired a 17-year-old Dmitriy to make an offer on his first piece property in Sacramento for $25,000. He wasn’t discouraged by the fact that he didn’t have any money and spoke only broken English.

What he lacked in money and articulation, he made up for with the kind of determination and resourcefulness he had learned from his family. Dmitriy recalls, “I was young and naïve with little appreciation for the very long odds I faced. I found the property owner in Florida and convinced him to do a below-market deal. He agreed and then I was faced with the reality that I had no money to buy this property. I made up my mind that I was going to find the money no matter what and somehow, I did.” He built a duplex and sold it for a nice profit. Dmitriy was thankful for those who helped him get his start and was humbled by the good fortune that he fully attributes to divine intervention. He was so grateful, that he donated his six-figure profit to his church. “Too many unlikely events went my way that allowed that experience to bless my life. I felt compelled by my faith and the years of blessings my family enjoyed through our church community. It was the right decision.”

The crash of the real estate market in 2008 took its toll on the construction industry and Dmitriy was no exception. He was so devastated by the setback, he struggled for many months to find his next career move. He tried a few uninspiring things outside of construction and in 2010 divine intervention struck again. Dmitriy found an opportunity to do property preservation and realized this was his chance to get back into the construction game. He has been talking to his friend Sergey at church and found out that he also had an industry background. They agreed to become partners in a property preservation company which became successful and broadened the construction expertise of both men.

As the economy improved, Dmitriy dove head-first into flipping houses in Florida and new construction in California. In 2017, Dmitriy and Sergey began discussing a shared vision of creating a different kind of company that would help homeowners make improvements without the stress, dishonesty, and broken promises experienced by many. Along with another Church friend Vazgen (Vaz), Cobex was born. Dmitriy remembers, “From the first conversation, it was clear that the three of us shared the same values, vision, and goals for our new company. We committed to each other then and there to stay true to those principles.”

Dmitriy recognizes that his determination, high standards, and attention to detail lead him to be single-minded about work, even during traditional off hours. But he vows to work on that. “My wife Angelica and I have two young sons and a baby daughter. They are a loving reminder that there is more to life than work. I don’t have a lot of hobbies or outside interests but spending time with them makes me realize what is really important.”

Dmitriy reflects on his accomplishments. “My partners and I feel fortunate that we have a company focused on family. It is very rewarding to create jobs and career advancement opportunities for our family members and devoted team members. Cobex is a place where people can enjoy their work, feel
appreciated, and embrace professional development. When a customer gives us a positive review, we all share in the moment. As owners, we are mindful of how blessed we are and devoted to sharing those blessings with others.”
